First scheduled clean completed at Suffolk Fresh floating solar array

Working with our sister company Clearsol, we carried out the first scheduled clean of the Suffolk Fresh floating solar array this week. The system has now been running for four months and the 1,250 panels are performing well with the sunny weather, supplying around 20% of the site’s annual energy demand. With 96% of generation used on site, the array continues to deliver strong efficiency and minimal export.

The clean itself was straightforward. The Clearsol team used their cleaning robot to track up and down each row of panels, and the full system was completed in just two days. Having permanent access in place made the whole process smooth and safe, allowing the team to get on and off the array quickly without disrupting operations.
