All systems provided by East Green Energy are bespoke - designed, supplied and installed to maximise energy efficiency.
System suitability and cost are dictated by the nature of each property and the requirements for energy to be generated.
The following are guidelines only to the sort of costs and saving opportunities which you may expect from our energy solutions. To discuss your specific requirements or arrange a site visit and quotation contact us.
Grants or loans may be available for some of the technologies, please check with your local authority.
Heating Solutions
Solar Thermal Systems
Design, supply & installation from:
£4,000 (plus VAT @ 5%). Based on a fully installed system for a typical 3 bedroom property (inc a new hot water cylinder).
Income scheme eligibility:
None at present. By 2011 the government will introduce Renewable Heat Incentives (RHI) which will be similar to the feed in tariffs for electricity generation. This means that, with a solar thermal system in place commissioned after 15th July 2009, you will earn money for the Co2 emissions that you save.

Ground Source Heat Pumps
Typically:
for a 160sqm house an 8kw pump and ground arrays is £4600 + VAT plus installation.
Design, supply & installation from:
£1200.00 per kw (incl.installation of trenched ground array).
Cost considerations:
If bore holes are required the cost will be approx. £1750 per Kw.
Income scheme eligibility:

Air Source Heat Pumps

£4,500 - £10,000 for a detached home.
Cost considerations:
Running costs around £450 per year, depending on property size / efficiency of insulation.
Grants:
No government grants are currently available, please check with your local council.

Generating Electricity
Photovoltaic Systems
Design, supply & installation from:
£6,500 approx. for a 1kwp system, depending on type.
Cost considerations:
Panels that are fitted on the roof are less expensive than in-roof systems and solar tiles are generally the most expensive option unless it is a new build. Based on retro fit on-roof panels, solar tiles cost approximately double per kw. Savings should however be made on installation costs as, fitted in conjunction with the roof tiles, less roofing materials are required.
